WE KNOW FANDOM.
WE KNOW FANDOM.
Fangirl Central is a media company co-founded by writers, filmmakers, and sister comedy duo Amanda & Amber Miller. Our short film THE DAY I DIDN’T MEET ONE DIRECTION (2022) was the genesis of the company, which has since produced an Acast-supported podcast, an original musical revue inspired by Disney Channel, a Twilight game show, a One Direction drag show, with multiple scripts in development.
We are fandom experts who exist at many intersections—Zillennial, Black, queer, femme, fan, artist, creator, researcher—and act as the bridge between culture, fandom, and storytelling. Using intersectionality as the lens through which we view fandom, we understand the outsized influence of marginalized voices on our culture at large, and we synthesize the power of those fans for our audience and customers.
We continue to develop and produce original film, TV, and digital projects, and host community events, while consulting with production companies, studios, and creators to build organic fandoms using research and firsthand experience to amplify underrepresented audiences & artists.
